Indy’s opening game for 2025 was an absolute statement-sender. The Fever issued a 93-58 beatdown to the Chicago Sky, headlined by Clark’s cool 20/10/10 line. She also added four blocks and two steals in a rounded defensive effort.

Her teammates looked locked in, too. Kelsey Mitchell had 15 points with two made 3s; Aliyah Boston went 8-for-12 and swatted another five shots; newly-added veteran Natasha Howard was a team-best plus-26 in 29 minutes. The defense contorted Chicago into 17 turnovers and below-30 percent shooting. Imagine how Indiana will look if six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner gets comfortable in her new threads.

The hosts are big favorites Tuesday night, but these ATLiens are no easy out. Allisha Gray was feeling it in the season opener with 25 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six treys. Rhyne Howard was just 3-of-12 with four turnovers in that 94-90 loss to the Washington Mystics, but she’s still a gifted initiator and a confident long-range hunter.

The Dream have two new marquee names in tow. After 11 decorated years with the Phoenix Mercury, Brittney Griner now holds down the paint for Atlanta. She had 18 points (7-of-16) and eight boards in the opening game, but rookie Kiki Iriafen got the best of her for most of the first three quarters. Fellow All-Star big Brionna Jones had a 16/10/5 line in her Dream debut. She was an all-league defender in her Connecticut Sun tenure.

Ultimately, the broadcast will center around Clark, a transformational talent who outdrew the MLB’s Subway Series in Saturday’s TV ratings. Every national look deserves to be appreciated. The Fieldhouse will be feverish, even on a Tuesday night.

Best player to wear both jerseys: Candice Dupree. The seven-time All-Star played four seasons with the Fever and ended her career with the Dream in 2021.
