BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball will face Chile in bracket play of the FISU America Games on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Hoosiers went 2-0 in group play with an average margin of victory of 68 points. Argentina and the Virgin Islands are playing in the other semifinal game.
The Hoosiers are representing the USA in the event that brings together college athletes from North, Central and South America and the Caribbean for a competition across 15 sports. The participating teams in basketball include Chili, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Virgin Islands, Peru and Team USA.

Indiana basketball’s top performers against the Virgin Islands
Indiana freshman Vaughn Karvala had a breakout game with 32 points on 11-of-14 shooting (7-of-10 on 3-point attempts). He was one of five players in double-digits for the Hoosiers. Aiden Sherrell missed out on a second straight double-double by one rebound. The Hoosiers shot 64% from the field and 43.2% from 3-point range.
