The No. 21-ranked Michigan State women’s basketball team wraps up its stay in California on Wednesday with another test against a top-5 ranked opponent in USC.
The game is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. ET.
MSU (19-6, 9-5 Big ten) is coming off a 75-69 road loss to then-No. 1 ranked UCLA on Sunday night. USC (23-2, 13-1) is coming off a win over Washington and is on a four-game winning streak that included handing UCLA its first loss of the season last week. The Trojans, who are led by star guard JuJu Watkins, enter Wednesday’s matchup atop the Big Ten standings and with a half-game lead over UCLA.
Wednesday’s matchup marks the first time since the 2021-22 season that the Spartans are facing top-10 ranked opponents in back-to-back games.
This is the third all-time meeting between MSU and USC and the first since March 21, 2005, when the Spartans won 61-59 in the second round of the NCAA tournament on their way to reaching the national championship game. USC leads the all-time series, 2-1.
