How to watch Ohio State WBB vs UCLA: Time, TV channel for game Saturday

by

The Ohio State Women’s basketball held off the red hot Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday night in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. The Buckeyes had the lead most of the game but found themselves trailing by one point with just seconds on the clock. Head coach Kevin McGuff called a timeout and drew up a play for star Cotie McMahon who drew a foul to get to the charity stripe where she would make both free throws. Ohio State would hold on in the final seconds for a 60-59 win ending Iowa’s 11-game win streak in Big Ten Tournament play, a streak that began in 2022.

The Buckeyes reward is a matchup with No. 2 seed UCLA. OSU played the Bruins in Los Angeles earlier in the season and held its own for three and a half quarters. Ultimately UCLA’s size got the best of Ohio State with 6-foot-7 Lauren Betts scoring 19 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. It’ll be another tough matchup for the Bucks as they look to get back to the championship game for the first time since 2023.

Ohio State 57 UCLA 62: Basketball is a game of matchups and this is a tough matchup for the Buckeyes. Lauren Betts is a load on both sides of the floor. Points will be hard to come by for Ohio State in the paint, which means for the Buckeyes to even have a chance to win, they will have to shoot lights out from beyond the arc. Anything is possible, but it feels like a daunting task for Ohio State.
