
The Connecticut Sun (4-20) snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating the Golden State Valkyries (11-13) 95-64 July 27 in their strongest performance of the season.
Sun center and UConn alum Tina Charles was the leading scorer in the game against the Valkyries, with 24 points. In addition, Sun guard and UConn alum Bria Hartley turned in a strong performance in that contest, scoring 15 points.

Now the Sun turn their attention to their next opponent: the Seattle Storm (15-11). To date, the two teams have met three times this season. Seattle won the first meeting June 27 97-81, Connecticut won the second game July 9 93-83 and the Storm defeated the Sun in the third game July 11 79-65.
