Stage ten of the Tour de France will offer another chance for the yellow jersey contenders to stamp their authority on the race as we head on a 166.6km journey from Aurillac to Le Lioran on Bastille Day.
The tenth stage of the Tour de France gets underway at 13:10 European time, with the finish expected around 17:10.
Pogacar has so far dominated the general classification and sits 2:42 ahead of his nearest rival, Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane simply couldn’t get close to the Slovenian on the Col du Tourmalet, where Pogacar powered to victory on stage 6 to build this advantage in the GC standings.
Stage 10 offers a potential chance for redemption, though, with seven categorised climbs, including two category-one ascents in the Puy Mary – Pas de Peyrol (7.8km at 6%) and Col de Pertus (4.4km at 8.5%). Finishing in Le Lioran, Vingegaard will have good memories of this climb, having outsprinted Pogacar to the line for a stage win here in 2024. He will need far more than a sprint, though, if he is to claw back any time.
Of course, a breakaway victory isn’t out of the question either, and the likes of Lenny Martinez and Ben O’Connor may fancy their chances of an outside shot at the win.

In the UK, stage ten will be shown live across TNT Sports and HBO Max.
Live streaming is available on HBO Max, with linear viewing on TNT Sports 1. Plans start at £25.99 per month, with rolling subscriptions available at £30.99.
However, if you just want to watch highlights, these will be on free-to-air channel 5 on Tuesday evening.
