The North Carolina Tar Heels head up to the JMA Wireless Dome looking to bounce back against Syracuse.
Both teams are looking to rebound after suffering heavy losses earlier in the week. Carolina’s embarrassing loss to NC State exposed the backcourt and showed how important Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar are to this team. UNC struggled immensely from beyond the arc, shooting a dismal 15.2 percent from three-point range. With just five makes on 33 attempts, this was Carolina’s lowest percentage ever in a game with 30 or more attempts.

As mentioned in the game preview, this game will be won or lost by the guards. Senior guard Nate Kingz is on a hot streak, averaging 16.5 points over his last six games and having converted a three-pointer in 16 straight matchups.
But UNC’s absences in the front court will pose a challenge for Jarin Stevenson and Zayden High.
Syracuse presents a tough interior challenge, ranking second in the nation with 6.3 blocks per game. Anchored by senior center William Kyle III, who is fourth in the nation with 72 blocked shots. This is a rate of 2.67 blocks per game.
Wilson remains out, and Veesaar has been upgraded to “questionable.” Stay tuned for a game-time decision on Veesaar.

For the Orange, a thrilling comeback victory over SMU was followed by a massive 101-64 road loss to Duke on Monday. The Orange committed nearly three times as many turnovers as Duke and allowed the Blue Devils to shoot 62 percent from the floor.
Both teams are looking for a key late-season win. The Orange are fighting to stay on the NCAA Tournament bubble, while the Heels are looking for a confidence boost while playing with an injury-depleted squad.
