The Wisconsin Badgers are wrapping up a home stand with a matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, looking to stack consecutive wins after their victory over the Minnesota Gophers during the week.
The Badgers had another comeback win over Minnesota on Wednesday, as they fell behind early with an ugly first half, trailing 35-17 by halftime. It wasn’t a pretty look, as Wisconsin was trending towards losing its first Quad 3 game of the season.

But they poured in 50 second-half points as John Blackwell and Nick Boyd combined for 44 of Wisconsin’s 67. The Badgers came from behind, and a clutch Blackwell three inside 30 seconds left put them up four and ultimately led to another comeback win against Minnesota.
Now, Wisconsin faces a quality Ohio State team that has gone 14-6 this season, just a half-game worse than the Badgers, who stand at 15-6. The Buckeyes are also 6-4 in conference play, although five of those wins are against teams that have a 3-7 or worse record in the Big Ten.
The Buckeyes are better than the Badgers in the NET rankings (No. 37 vs. No. 43), but this game would be classified as a Quad 2 win for Wisconsin at home. Nonetheless, it’s a big opportunity for the Badgers, and one where they can’t start like they did on Wednesday.
