The Huskers’ women’s basketball team played in their final home game of 2024, hosting Chattanooga on Sunday. Once again, Nebraska found itself in a low-scoring outing against a non-power 4 team. But, once again, the Huskers pulled out the win 66-42.
Nebraska held the lead over the Mocs for most of the game, despite the low output offensively. The Huskers averaged 16.5 points per quarter in the win while Chattanooga averaged 10.5. Nebraska shot 26-of-62 from the field while the Mocs finished 18-of-53.
Alexis Markowski led the Huskers in scoring and rebounding, tallying up 18 points and hauling in eight rebounds. Callin Hake also cracked double digits in scoring, dropping 10 points and co-leading Nebraska in made three-pointers.
She, Britt Prince and Kendall Moriarty all landed two from beyond the arc. Prince scored eight points in the win while Moriarty delivered six. Petra Bozan also dropped eight points.
Nebraska improves to 10-1 on the season and will hit the road for the remainder of games of the 2024 year. The Huskers face off against Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
