The No. 25 Huskers faced their first conference foe of the season, the 10-0 Minnesota Golden Gophers. Nebraska handed the Golden Gophers their first loss of the season, delivering a swift 84-65 afternoon to earn its eighth win of the season.

The Huskers wasted no time getting ahead of Minnesota, outscoring it 27-11 in the first quarter. This was a solid response following their low-scoring win over Lindenwood last week. Nebraska fended off the Golden Gophers 48-46 in the second half.

The Huskers finished 31-of-60 from the field and landed 12-of-28 from beyond the arc. Minnesota shot 25-of-71 and only tallied 5-of-21 in three-pointers. Nebraska also outrebounded the Golden Gophers 49-30 but allowed ten steals.

Alberte Rimdal led the team in the win, scoring a team-high 12 points and earning a team-high six assists. Allison Weidner also secured six assists on the afternoon. Callin Hake finished behind Rimdal with 11 points, but led Nebraska from beyond the arc, going 3-of-5.

Alexis Markowski scored 11 points and hauled in a team-high nine rebounds. Freshman Amiah Hargrove rounded out Nebraska’s top players, dropping 10 points, hauling in eight rebounds and going 4-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 in three-point shooting.

The Huskers remain home for their next two games. Nebraska will face Tarleton State on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CT on B1G+.
