Arman Tsarukyan continues to be a busy man.
The occasional UFC fighter has competed in grappling matches three times in the past three months, and will compete in two more this March. On the 28th, he’ll rematch Georgio Poullas at Real American Freestyle after the two got into a brawl after their first bout. But first Tsarukyan will head to Rio de Janeiro on March 11th to face fellow UFC troublemaker Muhammad Mokaev at Hype FC Brazil.

Mokaev was a top contender in the flyweight division, but his habit of fighting dull in the cage and ambushing fighters on the street led to him being cut from the promotion. He’s enjoyed a bit of a popularity boost since then as some fans have dubbed him the uncrowned king of 125, ejected from UFC because the promotion didn’t want another wrestling-heavy Russian champ.
Mokaev isn’t the only new addition to the Hype Brazil card, which is a mere four days away. Shara “Bullet” Magomedov was originally set to grapple Jorge Masvidal, but Masvidal withdrew for unknown reasons. That led to “Bullet” unsheathing some swords for a pointed social media video.
“Jorge, amigo! Brazil is not Miami! Russia is not Miami!” Magomedov declared. “Don’t play with the pirate!”

Magomedov will now face UFC lightweight Edson Barboza.
Also on the card, Jean Silva will grapple Bryce Mitchell, yet another fighter who finds themselves on the outs with UFC management. All that free time is paying off for promotions that book wrestling and grappling matches. UFC contracts allow fighters to take part in events like this so long as a bout agreement isn’t signed. For Mitchell, he hasn’t had a UFC fight since July 2025 when he beat Said Nurmagomedov in Abu Dhabi.
