We don’t write a ton of football recruiting — or any sport recruiting — content at TCR. There’s just so much going on all the time, and it does take a lot of work. Kudos to those who do it.
But when you get a cool story like this starting to form, it’s worth reporting.

Illinois State’s wide receiver Eddie Kasper will be in Champaign for an official visit on Tuesday, he announced on X.
Kasper had 137 receptions and 1,198 in four seasons in BloNo.
A native of Racine County, Wisconsin, Kasper had at least one reception in 15 of the Redbirds’ 17 games last season. Remember, they lost the FCS title game in overtime. Kasper has also been a primary punt returner.
Illinois needs all the depth it can get, so this certainly wouldn’t hurt the wide receiver room. Not sure it’s been the offseason Bret Bielema had in store with building his roster, but a Swiss Army knife on the outside could be helpful.
