Kelsey Mitchell led the way for Indiana with 35 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field. She also had six assists, three steals and seven 3-pointers made, becoming the first player in WNBA history to record those numbers in a single game.
Aliyah Boston was also sensational with her all-around performance, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Like Mitchell, she also made history, as she became the fastest WNBA center ever to record 100 assists in a season.
Rachel Banham led the Sky in scoring with 26 points, while three others reached double digits. Unfortunately, Chicago’s bench unit was outscored by its Indiana counterpart, 29-4.

With the result, the Fever have now beaten the Sky in all three meetings so far this season. To make matters worse for Chicago, they’ve been blown in each of those contests.
As Indiana play-by-play announcer Pat Boylan noted, the Fever are “the only team in the WNBA to beat the same opponent by 15+ 3 times this season,” having “outscored the Sky by 77 in their 3 matchups this year.”

In their second meeting on June 7, the Fever took the 79-52 victory. Clark didn’t play in the game, but Kelsey Mitchell and Natasha Howard stepped up and combined for 30 points and 10 rebounds.
Indiana and Chicago will face each other two more times this season: on August 9 and September 5, both in Indiana.

As mentioned, Sunday’s Fever-Sky match-up lacked its usual luster because of the absence of both Clark and Reese.

Clark continues to recover from her groin injury, with the Fever taking a cautious approach and refusing to provide a definite timetable for her return.
Meanwhile, Reese is dealing with a back injury that also forced her to miss Thursday’s showdown with the Seattle Storm. She was initially listed as questionable for the Fever game before being ruled out prior to tip-off.
