Both Fever stars are working through injuries. Clark has been sidelined with a left quadriceps injury, while Cunningham has been sidelined with an ankle injury.
Since the Fever lost Clark, their leading scorer and facilitator, they have gone 1-2, losing back-to-back games when she was originally ruled out.
Clark will remain out for the team’s matchup against the Chicago Sky. She recently mentioned in a press conference that a possible return could occur when the Fever face off against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday.
While it was generally known that Clark would be unavailable against the Sky on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, the Fever have also officially ruled out Sophie Cunningham, per Chloe Peterson.
The loss of Sophie Cunningham leaves a large hole to fill for the Indiana Fever. She’s been out for nearly a week and her health has been up in the air, recently being listed as a limited participant in practice on Friday.

Despite the late push to have Cunningham active, she will miss her second straight game for the Fever.
Throughout the season, her first year with the Indiana Fever, Cunningham has posted 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

During Caitlin Clark’s second season with the Indiana Fever, she’s averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game.
Before suffering the injury, Clark led the Fever in points and assists per game.
The Fever will be playing the Chicago Sky for the second time this season on Saturday night 8PM ET. They opened the season against Chicago, previously defeating the Sky 93-58.
