This WNBA offseason, Sabally continues to make headlines. More recently, she turned heads for her actions off the basketball court.

The German forward revealed that she shaved her head in order to raise awareness about alopecia, which is an “autoimmune disease” that causes hair loss, according to Cleveland Clinic.

Sabally’s best friend, Sunniva Ferri, is dealing with alopecia, so it’s an issue close to her heart.

“#alopeciaawareness,” Sabally wrote on Instagram, along with several photos of herself showing her bald head.
