Why Indiana State Will Win
After going 4-8 last year, the Sycamores have been solid over the first two games, rolling through McKendree – it’s a private school of about 1,500 students in Lebanon, Illinois – and Eastern Illinois before making the trip to Bloomington for the paycheck.

Why Indiana Will Win
Indiana has dominated the time of possession battle over the first two games. It gave up two big runs to Old Dominion, and that’s been the only negative so far.

Indiana State hasn’t done much to control the clock, and the Indiana pass rush should take over early on. After two straight 300-yard games on the ground, the Hoosiers have a shot to get to 1,000 yards in three games.
Indiana Will Get Even Sharper
This is it. Up next is Illinois, and then comes a trip to Iowa, and then the date at Oregon. Any tuning up to do happens here, and it’ll all come in an explosive first 20 minutes.
Curt Cignetti won’t necessarily call off the dogs – he’ll let the twos and threes get in some meaningful work – but he’ll get his main men out of there soon. They’ve looked good enough early on to be easy for the Illini. This is about taking the domination up a few notches.
