It looks like Butler guard Finley Bizjack avoided the worst-case scenario after leaving Wednesday’s game against No. 5 UConn with a wrist injury.
Bizjack took a hard fall late in the second half against the Huskies. The junior guard immediately clutched his wrist in pain before exiting the game. He did not return.

Bizjack has been diagnosed with a left wrist sprain, per a Butler source. He did not practice on Friday, and he’s considered day-to-day ahead of Butler’s game Sunday against Seton Hall.
Bizjack leads Butler in scoring at 17.4 points per game. He’s averaging 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 36.4% from 3 and 85.6% from the free-throw line.

The already slumping Bulldogs cannot afford to be without their leading scorer for an extended period of time. Freshman guard Azavier “Stink” Robinson has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a wrist injury. Grad transfer Jalen Jackson played just six games before he opted for surgery to repair an ankle injury suffered during the offseason.
Without Bizjack, Evan Haywood would take on a larger scoring load. The sophomore from Brebeuf Jesuit has upped his scoring from 2.1 points per game as a freshman to 7.6 points per in Year 2. The 6-foot-5 wing has emerged as one of the top shooters in the Big East, shooting 37.9% from 3 on five attempts per game.
