Following a successful week in which Iowa women’s basketball (15-7, 5-6 Big Ten) defeated Northwestern, and upset previously No. 4 USC, the Hawkeyes are back in the receiving votes section of the newest USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll, where they are receiving 16 points.
Iowa will have two more opportunities this week to climb back inside the rankings as they travel to take on Minnesota (18-5, 6-5 Big Ten) on Thursday night and at Nebraska (16-6, 7-4 Big Ten) on Monday, Feb. 10.
As for how the rest of the Big Ten fared in this week’s release, UCLA remains atop the rankings for a 10th consecutive week as the nation’s No. 1 team. Following the Bruins are No. 7 USC, No. 8 Ohio State, No. 15 Maryland, and No. 20 Michigan State.
Alongside Iowa, Illinois is the lone other Big Ten program within the receiving votes section.
