With approximately one month left until Selection Sunday, college basketball fans will surely have one eye on the rest of their favorite team’s regular season schedule and another on bracketology projections.

On Saturday, the NCAA selection committee gave a glimpse into their thought process by unveiling the in-season top 16 NCAA Tournament seeds at this point of the season.

Iowa State basketball, which has been a fixture in the top 10 this season, was among the top 16 NCAA Tournament seeds, which was released Saturday.

The No. 10 Cyclones entered Saturday’s game against Cincinnati with a 19-5 record and a 9-4 mark in Big 12 Conference play.

The official NCAA Tournament bracket reveal will occur on Selection Sunday, which is scheduled for March 16.

The Cyclones are on track for a No. 3 seed. They were ranked No. 9 overall by the committee Saturday, which makes them the top team among No. 3 seeds
