Iowa State football added to its 2026 recruiting class on Saturday night.

The Cyclones earned the commitment from St. Edward (OH) safety Brayden Thomas. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Ohio native is not ranked by the 247 Composite. Thomas is ranked as the No. 51 safety in the 2026 class and the No. 26 overall player in the state of Ohio, according to 247 Sports.

Thomas picked Matt Campbell’s program over offers from Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Bowling Green and Akron, among others.
