Iowa State basketball found a place in the hearts and minds of U.S. basketball fans this past season as star center Audi Crooks took her place as one of the top young players in the sport.

Crooks averaged 23.4 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game on 60.5 percent shooting for the Cyclones, who finished 23-12 on the season, seventh in the Big 12.
Crooks was supported by second leading scorer Addy Brown, who averaged 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for coach Bill Fennelly’s team.
On Monday, both Brown and Crooks’ strong seasons were honored by USA Basketball as an announcement was made on a recent honor.

“The Dynamic Duo is suiting up in the Red, White & Blue this summer!” the Cyclones Women’s basketball page wrote on Instagram.

“Addy & Audi have been invited to the 2025 @usabasketball Women’s AmeriCup Team Trials!” the account added with two tornado emojis and one basketball emoji.

The 2025 Women’s AmeriCup event will be held in August 2025, with Team USA set to take on the Bahamas on Aug. 23, 2025.
“Congrats but I would like to see them rest,” one fan said upon hearing the news.
“Let’s GOOO,” another added with three flame emojis.
The announcement came on the same day Crooks was shown helping her new teammates move into the program’s Sukup Basketball Complex, named after the Sukup family of Sheffield, Iowa, which is known for its significant academic and athletic contributions to Iowa State University.
