After stellar individual 2025-26 seasons for Iowa women’s basketball (26-6, 15-3 Big Ten), the Hawkeyes’ star frontcourt duo of sophomore center Ava Heiden and senior forward Hannah Stuelke were both named WBCA All-America Finalists.
Heiden and Stuelke are two of the 48 finalists for this season’s 10-member WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America team.

Heiden led Iowa in scoring throughout the regular season, averaging 17.4 points per game on 64.7% shooting. The 6-foot-4 native of Sherwood, Ore., also averaged 7.3 rebounds per game to rank second on the Hawkeyes. Heiden’s 64.7% field goal shooting ranks second in the Big Ten and third nationally, and is just the 10th player in program history to shoot 64.0% or better.
Heiden earned honorable mention All-America honors from the Associated Press and USBWA earlier this week and was a first-team All-Big Ten selection this season.
As for Stuelke, the 6-foot-2 native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, averaged 13.4 points per game on 58.5% shooting. The senior forward also averages a team-high 8.5 rebounds per game.

Stuelke also leads Iowa with 20 games of at least eight rebounds this year and was also named to the second-team All-Big Ten squad for the third time in her career earlier this month.
Up next for the talented frontcourt duo and No. 2 seed Iowa is an NCAA Tournament first-round matchup against No. 15 seed Fairleigh Dickinson (30-4, 18-0 Northeast Conference) on Saturday, March 21 at 3 p.m. CT, from Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The first-round matchup between the Hawkeyes and Knights will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
