Tennessee football has its first open week of the 2025 season on Oct. 4.
The Vols (4-1, 1-1 SEC) return to play against Arkansas (2-3, 0-1) on Oct. 11 (4:15 p.m. ET, SEC Network) at Neyland Stadium.
Tennessee won its first two games this season, beating Syracuse and ETSU in nonconference matchups to start coach Josh Heupel’s fifth season. It lost in overtime to Georgia on Sept. 13 in its SEC opener before beating UAB handily then topping Mississippi State in overtime on Sept. 27.

Is Tennessee playing today?
Tennessee is off in Week 6 after beating Mississippi State 41-34 in overtime in Week 5 at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi.
Arkansas will have a new coach in the matchup. The Razorbacks fired Sam Pittman and appointed offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino the interim coach on Sept. 28.
Tennessee has a second off week on Nov. 8 after playing Oklahoma and before hosting New Mexico State in its final nonconference game.
