Isabelle Harrison starts in Toronto’s buzzer-beater loss at Washington

Washington (5-6) defeated Toronto (7-6), 86-85, Friday in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.

Sonia Citron scored 17 points for the Mystics and converted a buzzer-beater shot to win the game as time expired.

Toronto guard Marina Mabrey led all scorers with 27 points.

Former Lady Vol Isabelle Harrison started for the Tempo and played 28 minutes. She scored eight points and converted 4-of-7 field goal attempts. Harrison also recorded six rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block.

She played at Tennessee from 2011-15 under head coaches Pat Summitt and Holly Warlick.

In 2014, Harrison was SEC Tournament MVP and earned First-Team All-SEC honors. The former Lady Vol was selected in the first round of the 2015 WNBA draft by Phoenix (No. 12 overall).

In 2019, she was named WNBA Comeback Player of the Year by the Associated Press.
