ISL 2025-26: Inter Kashi to play first home game in Kolkata behind closed doors

Inter Kashi will play its first home match of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 season, against Mumbai City FC, behind closed doors at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, the Varanasi-based side had announced that it would play its home matches for the season in Kolkata while the club is building a football-specific stadium in the Bhelupur locality of Varanasi.

“Due to a sudden change in venue, our first home game of the season against Mumbai City FC at Kishore Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata will be played behind closed doors,” the club said in a statement.

“Unfortunately, spectators will not be permitted inside the stadium for this fixture. Only accredited media personnel will be permitted inside the stadium for this fixture,” it added.

Inter Kashi currently sits seventh in the 14-team table with five points from four games (one win, two draws and one loss) while Mumbai CIty is fifth with eight points in as many games (two wins and two draws).
