Jaqueline Amorim plans to be one of game’s best grapplers after UFC Macau

Jaqueline Amorim met the media Saturday after her win over Loma Lookboonme at UFC Fight Night 277.

Amorim (11-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) submitted Lookboonme (10-5 MMA, 7-4 UFC) with a slick armbar to open the prelims at Galaxy Macau. Amorim got the tap with 56 seconds left in the opening round, and with it a return to the win column.

Amorim kept her perfect finishing rate intact – 11 wins, 11 stoppages. She’s only gone the distance twice, and both times have been her only losses. Everyone else has, by and large, found themselves on the canvas with Amorim, and that’s a big problem.

“I’ve trained jiu-jitsu since I was 5 years old – I’ve never stopped,” Amorim told the UFC after the win. “Jiu-jitsu is my strength. I believe I can be one of the best grapplers in the UFC.”
