Jared Gordon scored the biggest highlight reel win of his octagon tenure so far when he knocked Thiago Moises out cold at UFC Fight Night 256.
After getting a takedown early in the lightweight bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the bout returned to its feet where Gordon (21-7 MMA, 9-6 UFC) landed a brutal right hand that floored Moises (19-9 MMA, 8-7 UFC). He followed up with a few shots on the ground to seal the deal for the knockout at the 3:37 mark of Round 1.

After the win, Gordon gave a passionate speech about supporting mental health efforts for combat sports athletes. Additionally, he said his victory over Moises is an example of why he should be getting bigger fights at 155 pounds.
“I knew my boxing was better,” Gordon said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. I just had to wait for the right moment. I caught him coming in. Got the knockout. … I’ve come in here with confidence, and there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be getting bigger fights.”
