Jase Richardson named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for second straight week

by

For the second week in a row, Michigan State basketball freshman phenom Jase Richardson is your Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Jase received the honors last week after big games over Purdue and Michigan.

This week, Richardson scored in double-digits in wins over Wisconsin and Maryland, scoring 15 points on the Terrapins and 11 points on the Badgers. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds per game in the two victories. Richardson likely would have had even more points against Wisconsin, but first half fouls limited him to 21 minutes on the night.

Richardson is now averaging 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 0.8 steals per game this year as he continues to develop into one of the best offensive players in the conference.
