Former ESPN star Jemele Hill has called out the WNBA.
Hill, who hosted the 6 p.m. E.T. “SportsCenter” with Michael Smith at ESPN, is not happy with the WNBA. The Indiana Fever have allegedly revoked the credentials of longtime reporter Scott Agness.

The Fever allegedly revoked his credentials for his reporting on Caitlin Clark’s injury situation.
“Yeah, it’s of great concern, not just for me but for everyone right –freedom of the press…it’s just a situation that is frustrating,” Agness said.
“This is me just trying to do my job and trying to gain clarity and understanding of the thinking and why this went down, because nobody comes out on top of this situation and it’s mostly the fans that are losing because look, I was there when no one cared… Now that things have changed a little bit, I think everybody has to adapt.”

Agness had previously reported that Clark would sit out of a game as part of a “strategic management plan” related to managing her workload and health. The Fever denied his report, ultimately ruling her out with a back injury. The team accused him of spreading a false report.
Jemele Hill is among those calling out the WNBA.

“This is just weak. It’s a bad look for the Fever, and it makes the WNBA look small and unprepared. A beat reporter doing their actual job is not grounds for credential removal,” she wrote on X.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Fever handle this moving forward, as it continues to gain more and more attention.
