Jiri Prochazka will climb into the Octagon with a bittersweet memory when he faces Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight belt at UFC 327 on Saturday, April 11.
He won the belt almost four years ago and so began one of the briefer championship reigns in UFC history. Prochazka had to vacate the title before his next fight because he injured his shoulder during training.

Since then, he’s had two more title shots and lost both of them to Alex Pereira by TKO. The fight against Ulberg will be Prochazka’s best shot yet to reclaim the title, with Prochazka, the 33-year-old Czech, promising to come out faster than in previous fights.
Ulberg, the 35-year-old from New Zealand, sounds unfazed by Prochazka as he heads into his first title fight having won his last nine bouts.
“I definitely see a lot of holes in the game,’’ Ulberg said.
