Jon Jones’ UFC White House campaign continues with patriotic promo

by

It’s no secret that Jon Jones wants to return for the UFC White House event, and now he’s taking things to another level in his campaign to convince Dana White to give him a spot on the card.

In a promotional video for one of Jones’ sponsors, Ketone, the former UFC champ leaned heavily into American patriotism, complete with images of the military, eagles screeching, and flags waving. There are also clips of Jones training, as well as a cut of the man Jones wants to fight at the UFC White House event next summer, current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

It’s a fight that Pereira wants as well, but it will take convincing UFC CEO Dana White, who has been vocal about not wanting to put Jones on what will be a one-of-a-kind event on the White House lawn. The hesitation likely stems from Jones putting UFC in a bind by ducking a heavyweight title unification with Tom Aspinall, and then ultimately opting for retirement. Not to mention all of the other times Jones has let the UFC down throughout his career.

In an attempt to convince the promotion that he’s really committed to fighting again, Jones has publicly begged for a spot on the card, while at the same time deciding to give White his space.

Although he’s letting White think things over, Jones is keeping the hype alive for a potential return in his own way.

“In the summer of 2026, America turns 250 years old, and I couldn’t be more proud to call myself an American,” Jones said in the video, sitting in front of an American flag. “I love this country; the people, the promise, the fight. This nation was built on courage and conflict. On belief that we could take on the biggest, the boldest, and come out victorious. That’s how I’ve lived my life.

“I can’t help but think what a better way to celebrate America’s fight, than for its best fighters to put it on full display. To remind the world who we are. Not just a country of words, but of warriors. Maybe somewhere iconic or maybe on a certain someone’s lawn. All I know is, I’m fueled up, fired up, and ready. God bless the United States of America, and God bless the fighters who carry its spirit.”
