Jordan Goodwin is set to remain in Phoenix after agreeing to a new three-year contract worth $19 million, according to ESPN sources.
The deal includes a player option for the final season, allowing the 27-year-old guard to re-enter free agency before the contract fully expires if he chooses.
The new agreement represents a major reward for a player whose place on the roster was far from guaranteed less than a year ago.
Goodwin entered training camp fighting for a spot after signing a non-guaranteed deal, but his relentless defensive effort, toughness, and energy quickly earned the trust of the coaching staff.

His 106 steals led the team, highlighting the impact he made through hustle plays, ball pressure, and defensive versatility.
Phoenix’s decision to invest in Goodwin continues a clear offseason trend.
After also reaching a multiyear deal with guard Collin Gillespie, the organization is showing confidence in younger players it has helped develop internally over the past season.

The contract was finalized by Goodwin’s representatives, Shy Saee and Mike George of Klutch Sports, shortly after the NBA’s negotiating period opened for players discussing new contracts with their current teams.
