“I am excited and ready to join the women’s basketball staff at Vanderbilt, where I will bring the same energy and effort I brought to the court in my time as a Commodore,” Oliver said in the release. “In just two years, Coach Ralph has taught me to be a better person. I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to learn from this staff and continue my growth as I transition away from being a student-athlete.”
In two seasons at Vanderbilt, Oliver averaged 4.69 points, 4.72 rebounds and 3.23 assists per game. She previously played at Duke and Baylor.
While playing for the Commodores, she was a team captain and earned a master’s degree in leadership and organizational development.

“From my first phone call with Jordyn over two years ago, I knew she would elevate our program in every way,” Ralph said in the release. “Her growth and leadership on the court helped our team return to the NCAA tournament, but her energy and passion for success are so special that we simply had to keep her here at Vanderbilt. As an aspiring coach, she will gain valuable experience on our staff in helping our players develop on and off the floor.”
After a loss to Oregon in the first round of the NCAA tournament, Oliver expressed that she was interested in staying on with Vanderbilt’s staff. Now, that will become a reality.
