Delgado (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will look to get back on track following his first UFC loss, which came by unanimous decision against Nathaniel Wood at UFC 321. The Dana White’s Contender Series veteran won his first two UFC bouts, stopping both Connor Matthews and Hyder Amil in the first round.

Fili (25-12 MMA, 13-11 UFC) has more wins in the UFC than Delgado has total fights. The experienced veteran will look to make it back-to-back wins following a split decision over Christian Rodriguez in August. Fili has struggled to keep winning momentum, though, as he’s traded wins and losses in recent years, with his last pair of wins coming in 2019.

Serving as one of the best matchups on the card is a featherweight fight between Andre Fili and Jose Delgado.
Fili, whom I’m a big fan of, looks in fantastic shape coming into this fight and is not a fighter you should take lightly. That said, there’s no denying Fili’s consistently inconsistent win-loss trends during his tenure with the promotion.

Fili also has a .500 record in the UFC Apex, winning three fights by split decision and losing two of three fights by vicious knockout. For that reason, I find myself leaning toward the up-and-coming prospect in Delgado.
Aside from his clinch game resembling a wood chipper, Delgado is an offensively potent fighter who can fluidly change phases to find openings for finishes.
This battle should be a barnburner for as long as it lasts, but I’ll officially pick Delgado to find a finish by the end of Round 1.
