FloRacing reached out to Bonsignore, who confirmed that the team did indeed withdraw, but he politely declined any further comment.

Bonsignore has made 243 consecutive starts dating back to the 2010 Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Connecticut. His 243-straight starts has him third on the all-time consecutive starts list in NWMT history. All but two of Bonsignore’s 245 starts have come for Ken Massa Motorsports.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is returning to Oxford Plains Speedway for the first time in 35 years. Bonsignore and his team currently sit fifth in points, just 20 points back of Stephen Kopcik for the points lead. Bonsignore kicked off the season with a victory in Florida at New Smyrna Speedway. He finished 24th at Martinsville Speedway in March thanks to a late-race crash with Luke Baldwin. He then finished seventh at Thompson Speedway in his most recent race last weekend.

Bonsignore’s victory at New Smyrna in February is the 48th of his legendary career, which has him currently second on the NWMT’s all-time wins list, trailing only NASCAR Hall of Famer Mike Stefanik.

In 2025, NASCAR named Justin Bonsignore as one of the 40 greatest NWMT drivers of all time in celebration of the Tour’s 40th anniversary.
