LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Kansas Jayhawks basketball team announced their 2026-27 non-conference basketball schedule on Tuesday.
Kansas opens the regular season at home against Fordham on Monday, Nov. 2. They will also play in their 15th straight Champions Classic in Chicago against Kentucky, in what will be a battle of college basketball’s two most winningest programs.

Kansas baseball to host first regional in program history
The Jayhawks will once again play in the Players Era Tournament from Nov. 17 – Nov. 19. They will play UNLV on Nov. 17 and two other teams on the 18th and 19th that are to be determined.
Perhaps the most intriguing matchup will be played right here in Kansas City, when they face Mizzou in the Border War at T-Mobile Center on Dec. 6.
They’ll also get to play at the mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden, against Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 19.

Kansas will enter the season with their usual high expectations after completely revamping their roster and adding the top ranked player in the country Tyran Stokes.
They will look to get back to their standard of excellence after four straight first weekend exits in the NCAA Tournament.
