MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball is back home Sunday to play host to Arizona State in a 3 p.m. game at Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats (13-13, 7-8) are coming off back-to-back road losses at Brigham Young and Utah, and can ill afford to let one slip against Arizona State (12-14, 3-12) — a team they beat in their first meeting, 71-70, on Feb. 4 in Tempe, Arizona.
The losses in Utah snapped a six-game K-State winning streak and killed its momentum in seeking an NCAA Tournament at-large bid. The Wildcats’ next three games — they play at Central Florida on Wednesday and return home to face Colorado on Sunday — are against the bottom three teams in the Big 12 standings.

In their first game with Arizona State, the Wildcats fell behind 15-0 and trailed by 16 points in the first half before storming back to lead at intermission. The Jayden Quaintance missed two free throws with four second left that could have given the Sun Devils the lead.
