Kentucky Guard Makes Life-Changing Announcement After Freshman Season

Collin Chandler grew up in the small town of Farmington, Utah, where he starred as a shooting guard. He was named Utah Mr. Basketball after his senior season, averaging 21.7 points per game. That followed a standout junior year during which he scored 22.6 points per game.

Rated as a four-star recruit, Chandler chose to attend Brigham Young University, where he was set to play for head coach Mark Pope. He picked the Cougars over offers from Utah, Arizona, Stanford and Utah State.

When he committed, Chandler became BYU’s highest-rated recruit since 2013. He planned to enroll in 2024 after completing a two-year Latter-day Saint mission.

However, upon returning from his mission, Chandler flipped his commitment from BYU to Kentucky, where Pope had taken over as the new head coach.

After one season with the Wildcats, Chandler is making decisions that go beyond basketball.

Hannah Clark shared a wedding photo of herself and Chandler on social media, captioning the image simply as a bride and groom.
