Milan Momcilovic announced that he would withdraw from the NBA draft and return to play college basketball for his senior year.
Former Iowa State forward is set to announce his commitment decision some time next week.

Four big teams are in contention to sign country’s best shooter from last season. One of the biggest factors in Milan Momcilovic’s next team is his NIL tag. He is reportedly worth over $4 million, close to $5 million. And that is the starting price. So a team with a big purse and a small roster practically has more chance.
Pat Kelsey’s Louisville Cardinals
By NIL logic alone, Louisville is the least likely destination as they have completely restocked their roster. Not much is left in the NIL budget to accommodate Milan. However, if that does somehow happen, Pat Kelsey has always been a fan of good shooters and Momcilovic would perfectly fit the profile.
Rick Pitino’s St. John’s Red Storm
Rick Pitino’s St. John’s has an NIL budget of over $10 million. However, they have already added 7 players from transfer portal and international targets. Momcilovic under Rick Pitino would surely elevate his game in different prospects and might even make St. John’s an NCAA title contender.

Tommy Lloyd’s Arizona Wildcats
Arizona has a big reason to go after Milan. Their star man Koa Peat has decided to stay in the NBA draft. This frees up a lot of space in the NIL budget. They could also use a player for Milan’s shooting capabilities. If their’s one thing Tommy Lloyd’s team is missing it’s the presence of an elite shooter.
Mark Pope’s Kentucky Wildcats
Last and the most likely destination, Kentucky. Mark Pope has been rubbing his hands for a shooter like Milan Momcilovic ever since the off season started. Their disappointment of not getting Tyran Stokes had given a sense of desperation to sign the next big star. After transfer portal closed, Milan was probably the best player left for college teams to sign, if of course he decided to withdraw.

Now that he has withdrawn from the draft, Kentucky would most probably suit him the best. Coach Pope likes to manage a NBA-like offensive system which spreads the floor and players get a lot of opportunities to attempt three-pointers.
Milan led both three-pointer percentages and total three-pointers made las season and he would be a perfect fit for Kentucky. Moreover, Pope has the biggest NIL budget $21-$23 million at his expense, giving him an extra edge to compete for Milan’s signing.
