LAS VEGAS – Ketlen Souza met the media Saturday after her win over Ariane Carnelossi at UFC Fight Night 278.
Souza (17-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC) put away Carnelossi (15-5 MMA, 3-4 UFC) with a brutal head kick knockout to open the prelims at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Her finish came in just 94 seconds.
Souza said the fight was a big one for her because of a loss to Carnelossi seven years ago.

“It was a personal fight for me. I lost to her way back at the beginning of my career. I lost on a Saturday. She signed with the UFC on Sunday,” Souza said at her post-fight news conference. “I had to go back and restructure myself and improve and show that I could do this, too. It was a very important for me.”
With back-to-back wins in 2026 after a pair of losses in 2025, Souza issued a big-name callout after the fight – which was her first knockout in five years.
“I hope it’s Jessica Andrade. I want to fight people that bring out the best in me. That’s why I’m asking for that fight,” Souza said.
