
Third-year Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell provided a medical update for Avery Mills on Tuesday.
She suffered a right knee injury during a team skill workout on Tuesday and will be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Mills transferred to the Lady Vols after the 2025-26 basketball season.
The 5-foot-9 junior guard appeared in 59 games, including 25 starts, at Liberty from 2024-26. She averaged 10.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
During the 2024-25 season, Mills was Liberty’s only freshman to appear in all 33 contests. She was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week two times.
Mills’ career high for points in a game is 27 at Jacksonville State on Feb. 5.
She is from Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mills totaled 2,759 points, 1,000-plus rebounds and 500-plus assists in high school.

She will wear jersey No. 1 for the Lady Vols during the 2026-27 basketball season.
