Campbell (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) makes his UFC debut following a victorious Dana White’s Contender Series appearance in September. In that contract-earning bout, he stopped Demba Seck in the first round to notch the sixth finish of his young career.

Silva (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) saw a four-fight winning streak come to an end in August when he dropped a decision to the red-hot Kevin Vallejos. Prior to that setback, Silva won his first two UFC fights, taking split decisions over Lucas Almeida and Josh Culibao.

Kicking off the main card is an action fight at featherweight between Kurtis Campbell and Danny Silva.
Campbell, who is fresh off Dana White’s Contender Series, is getting a stern test right out of the gate with Silva.
I was impressed by Campbell in his last outing, where he demonstrated a decent southpaw striking process that fed into the rest of his game. That said, I still need to see more of Campbell before I can confidently pick him against a more battle-tested product like Silva.

Silva may have a potential problem as far as fighting to the level that’s put in front of him goes, but he’s a well-rounded athlete who can hang in almost every phase of the fight.
Although a Campbell win is probably the more likely outcome, I’ll take a flier that home cooking won’t interfere in what I see as a narrow win for Silva on the scorecards.
