The Milwaukee Bucks could continue reshaping their roster after moving Giannis Antetokounmpo, with rival teams reportedly monitoring center Myles Turner as a potential trade target.
According to Evan Sidery, the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors are among the teams that have recently shown interest in Turner. Sidery added that Turner’s contract includes a 15% trade kicker, which a new team would likely ask him to waive before completing a deal.
The expectation around league circles is that Turner could be available at a relatively manageable price, with Sidery reporting that Milwaukee may be able to acquire only one first-round pick and salary filler in return.
Turner’s situation changed significantly after the Bucks traded Antetokounmpo to Miami in a blockbuster deal centered around Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, three first-round picks, a pick swap and a second-round pick. Milwaukee entered the offseason with a 32-50 record and outside postseason contention, accelerating a roster transition.
The Bucks originally signed Turner to a four-year, $109 million contract to pair him with Antetokounmpo. The fit was designed around Turner’s combination of rim protection and shooting, allowing Milwaukee to space the floor while maintaining defensive size.
During the 2025-26 season, Turner appeared in 71 games and averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game in 26.9 minutes. He also shot 38.3% from three-point range, continuing his value as a stretch-five who can protect the rim.
Milwaukee’s decision will likely depend on whether the front office prioritizes financial flexibility, future draft assets or additional young players. With Turner owed $83.6 million over the next three seasons, moving his contract could become part of a larger rebuilding strategy.
