“Only in the Sip,” Kiffin posted on X after Joe Judge was asked to talk slower while giving his testimony during quarterback Trinidad Chambliss’ eligibility hearing Thursday.
Judge, who is now the Rebels’ quarterbacks coach under head coach Pete Golding, appeared in court to argue that Chambliss deserves another year.
But before diving into football development, Judge went viral for an unexpected answer about balancing parenthood and performance during the season.
“It’s a day-by-day production business,” Judge testified, explaining that players with newborn children must prioritize football during the season. He described conversations staff would have with families, placing the sleep, recovery and preparation over parenthood responsibilities. The comments quickly circulated online and caught fire.

Chambliss does not have a child, but he is fighting for a fifth season after the NCAA denied his waiver request. The former Ferris State standout transferred to Ole Miss before the 2025 season and took over starting duties in Week 3 after an injury to Austin Simmons.

Chambliss responded with a breakout campaign, throwing for 3,937 yards with 22 touchdowns and just three interceptions while adding 527 rushing yards and eight scores. He guided Ole Miss to its first College Football Playoff appearance, ending the season in a semifinal loss to Miami.
Though Chambliss redshirted in 2021 and missed 2022 while battling respiratory issues, the NCAA rejected his medical hardship claim. Now, a state court could determine whether Ole Miss’ record-setting quarterback gets one more season.
