OXFORD — Ole Miss football has added yet another SEC transfer from the portal.
Former Alabama wide receiver Caleb Odom committed to Ole Miss on the night of Dec. 18. On3 first reported the news. He is the seventh SEC player in Ole Miss’ ten-player transfer portal class.
Odom, a true freshman for the Crimson Tide this year, was heavily recruited coming out of high school. He was a four-star recruit in 247Sports Composite rankings, and the No. 2 tight end in the country. Odom shifted to playing wide receiver at Alabama. The 6-foot-5, 227-pound receiver had seven receptions for 65 yards this season with the Crimson Tide.
The Rebels have a talented group coming in to replace wide receivers Tre Amos, Juice Wells and Jordan Watkins, who are out of eligibility.
In addition to Odom, coach Lane Kiffin landed wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling from Oklahoma State on Dec. 17. Ole Miss also has an impressive crop of incoming freshman receivers, headlined by five-star recruit Caleb Cunningham, who Kiffin flipped from Alabama.
