Two weeks after firing offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, the Philadelphia Eagles continued their search for a replacement but will not land the LSU Tigers offensive coordinator.
The Eagles recently expressed interest in Weis, but after speaking with the organization, he informed them he would remain at LSU, according to Diana Russini of The Athletic. It was unclear whether the interaction rose to the level of a formal interview or was simply a preliminary inquiry.
Weis has built his career alongside Lane Kiffin, following him from Ole Miss Rebels to LSU. He previously served as Kiffin’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Florida Atlantic Owls beginning in 2018, becoming one of the youngest coordinators in major college football at 24. Weis later spent two seasons at South Florida Bulls before reuniting with Kiffin at Ole Miss in 2022.

Weis told On3’s Chris Low he had no interest in making the jump to the NFL. “I’m fired up about finishing the job at Ole Miss and the future at LSU,” Weis said.
The Eagles’ search continues, with candidates including Jim Bob Cooter, Matt Nagy and Brian Daboll.
