Iowa State women’s basketball has its sights set on another NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Cyclones (21-7) were a 9-seed in the Feb. 24 projected women’s field of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. On Tuesday morning, ESPN’s Charlie Creme released his latest bracketology predictions. Here’s where the Cyclones stand following their loss at TCU on Sunday.

Iowa State women’s basketball bracketology projection
Creme has the Cyclones listed as an 9-seed and playing in the Region 4 Sacramento side of the bracket. Iowa State’s first game in this week’s bracketology would come against No. 8 seed Washington.
In this projection, the Cyclones would travel to Austin, Texas, for first- and second-round games.
Iowa State’s women’s basketball NET ranking
The Cyclones were listed as No. 32 in the NET rankings on Feb. 24. NET rankings change daily, so be sure to keep tabs on where Bill Fennelly’s team lands after Wednesday’s game vs. Oklahoma State.
