Missouri basketball is set to face Jacksonville State on Tuesday evening at Mizzou Arena, where the Tigers will have a chance to win a 10th straight game.
After losing at Memphis in its season opener and dropping a 20th straight game dating back to last season, Mizzou has won nine straight games, including a Border War victory over then-No. 1 Kansas on Dec. 8. If Dennis Gates’ Tigers beat the Gamecocks on Tuesday, they will have the longest winning streak since their third-year coach took the job.
Jacksonville State (6-4) is the 178th-ranked team in the basketball analytics site KenPom’s rankings. The Conference USA team, coached by Ray Harper, has not yet faced a high-major team this season, and the Gamecocks’ best win to date, per the current NET rankings, was over Utah Valley on Saturday.

Missouri’s game against Jacksonville State is scheduled to tip off at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mizzou Arena.

Missouri’s game against Jacksonville State will stream live on SEC Network+, which is accessible via ESPN+. Nate Gatter will be the play-by-play announcer for the game, and former Missouri guard Jarrett Sutton will be the on-air analyst.

Caleb Grill is unlikely to play for Missouri against Jacksonville State, as the senior guard is still recovering from a neck injury sustained Nov. 27 in a game against Lindenwood.
True freshman Trent Burns has not appeared in a game this season and appeared to be wearing a boot on his right foot ahead of MU’s win over Long Island on Saturday.

Mizzou is hunting a 10th straight win, which would eclipse the Tigers’ longest streak since winning the opening nine games of Dennis Gates’ tenure as head coach in Columbia. Jax State is a step up from some of the Tigers’ other nonconference opponents, but Missouri should head into the Braggin’ Rights matchup against Illinois on Sunday with a 10-1 record.
