Canadian Swimming Trials Underway in Victoria: Results, Schedule, and How to Watch

The road to Singapore is officially open. The 2025 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials kicked off Saturday at Saanich Commonwealth Place, launching six days of top-tier racing as Canada’s best swimmers compete for a spot at the World Aquatics Championships.

Running June 7 through June 12, this year’s Trials will determine Team Canada’s roster for both pool and para events at Worlds. Olympic veterans, world record holders, and rising stars are all on deck as Canadian swimming takes center stage.

All sessions are streaming live and free for Canadian and international viewers:

Session Times:

  • Prelims: 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 PM ET
  • Finals: 5:30 PM PT / 8:30 PM ET

Day 1 Highlights (June 7)

  • Summer McIntosh opened her Trials campaign in the 400 freestyle in grand fashion, blasting a world record.

Team Canada Selection Criteria

  • Top two A-finalists per event who meet the World Aquatics “A” cut are selected.
  • For relays, the four fastest eligible swimmers in the 100 and 200 freestyle fill out the roster.
