Louisville football recruiting coordinator Trent Mossbrucker is leaving to become the general manager of football player personnel, acquisitions and roster management, a UCF football spokesperson told The Courier Journal on Tuesday.
Mossbrucker has been with U of L since December 2022. He previously worked with head coach Jeff Brohm at Purdue as assistant director of recruiting.

Now Mossbrucker will reunite with Scott Frost, whom Mossbrucker worked for at Nebraska as director of football and recruiting administration. Mossbrucker also previously worked at UCF as assistant director of football operations in 2017.
Louisville football GM Vince Marrow
Mossbrucker’s departure from Louisville comes weeks after the Cardinals hired longtime Kentucky assistant coach Vince Marrow as its first general manager. Marrow’s official title is executive director of player personnel and recruiting. He told The Courier Journal earlier this month that although his base salary at U of L will start at $700,000 and rise to $900,000 in Year 3, he’ll receive outside income from one entity (which Marrow declined to name) and make for an annual financial package totaling more than $1 million.
